On June 4, the Government of Canada launched its new national artificial intelligence (AI) strategy, AI for All, which aims to strengthen trust in AI, create new economic opportunities, and support Canadian sovereignty in this rapidly evolving field.
As part of this strategy, the Department of Canadian Heritage is developing a new Creative Technology Program, a $50 million initiative designed to help Canada’s cultural sector adapt to rapid technological change, including the growing adoption and impact of artificial intelligence.
To support the design of the program, we will be undertaking a series of engagement and consultation activities with the cultural sector over the coming months. These activities aim to better understand organizations’ level of readiness for AI, identify challenges and opportunities related to its adoption, and gather feedback that will help inform program development.
This survey is intended for organizations, businesses, associations, and other stakeholders in Canada’s cultural sector. It should take approximately ten minutes to complete. Your responses will help Canadian Heritage better understand the sector’s needs and design support measures that reflect the realities of different cultural disciplines and subsectors. Information collected through this survey will be analyzed confidentially and reported only in aggregate form to protect respondents’ identities.
